Sonos Era 300 Black
An hourglass-shaped speaker with six amplifiers firing in four directions, one of them at the ceiling. It is built for Dolby Atmos: sound bounces up and sideways and stops coming from a box.
Why people like it
- Up-firing tweeter — inside a directional horn, it creates the height channel for spatial audio.
- Two angled woofers — one to each side, so the stereo image really opens up.
- Cinema rears — this is the speaker Sonos puts behind a soundbar for surround with height.
- Trueplay on iPhone and Android — measures the room and tunes the EQ on either.
