Decorative, integrated into the unit, wall-mounted and ceiling. But before the model there is one question that changes everything: does your kitchen vent to the outside or not?

If it does, the hood extracts and the smoke goes outside. If it does not — and in many flats and many renovations around here it does not — the hood recirculates: it passes the air through activated carbon and returns it clean to the kitchen. With today's filters it works very well, and it does not narrow your choice: almost everything in the showroom can be fitted either way. The carbon is a consumable, like vacuum cleaner bags — we stock them here and we will tell you which one yours takes. If you are not sure what is behind your current hood, bring us a photo: it is usually obvious in two seconds.

The rest is simpler. Width rules: the hood must be as wide as the hob or wider, never narrower. And if you are redoing the kitchen, it is chosen at the same time as the hob and the oven — we look at that in the kitchen showroom.
